Marcia Lane-McGee
Marcia Lane-McGee is the coauthor of “Fat Luther, Slim Pickin’s,” speaker, (slightly) stressed out grad student, and the cohost of the Plaid Skirts and Basic Black podcast. A Chicago native and eldest sibling, Marcia refuses to pull any punches, doesn’t easily give into “can’t,” and has a close (and complicated) relationship with feedback. An aspiring joy guru, she fully believes dancing in your underwear (in your own home, of course) will heal just about any ill. Marcia is also a first mom, an Executive Board member of both New Wave Feminists and Catholics United for Black Lives, and all three have served to strengthen her resolve in getting women and children what they need for health and wholeness, especially in a post-roe world.
